I am a psychotherapist, relationship coach, and a mediator helping people experience more fulfilling relationships from life’s difficulties and crises which are inevitable.
From the age of 10, my best friend I used to play therapist after school. We’d take turns being the therapist who’d listen, take notes, and comment while the other lay on the couch divulging their inner thoughts. I worked as a counselor from the time I was a teenager and over the next three decades (including psychiatric crisis, drug and alcohol recovery, and hospice). More recently, I designed and ran the intensive treatment family program at Bayside Marin, have trained other therapists, and am an Interpersonal Dynamics facilitator in Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to do this work. Spending my days participating in a life-changing process of discovery, healing, and liberation is awe-inspiring. I am passionate about leveraging all that isn’t working to guide us to an intentionally chosen and deeply desired reality. I will guide you to experiment with more constructive ways of understanding your relationship, developing yourself, and engaging with each other.
I’m warm, calming, dedicated and creative. Past clients describe feeling supported even when I am pushing or challenging and introducing them to adopt the mindsets and behaviors that will help them live in accordance with their values and priorities. I’m a very interactive therapist. If you’re open to letting go of what hasn’t been working, I will guide you to find new and more constructive ways of engaging with each other.
I believe we can’t have a true relationship without developing the solid core of ourselves. I believe the greatest wounds happen in relationships, and our greatest healing can only happen in relationships. And that by being clear enough to notice what is really true in the here-and-now, we can be liberated from our outmoded and limiting beliefs about ourselves, others, and the world around us, bringing more joy and flexibility to our lives.
It is my mission to offer immediate relief and provide tools that will strongly help lost people to thrive and get out of the conflicts and emotional disturbances coming from all sorts such as betrayal, infidelity, breach of trust, increased reliance on drugs or alcohol, and other mundane issues.
In my therapy practice, I primarily work with couples and adult families who want to go beyond the other side with more than a solution to the current conflict. They want to develop personal and interpersonal skills to help minimize the likelihood of getting into these problematic situations in the future. Often they also desire to come away with a stronger anchor to their own strengths, values, and life purpose.
You know how connected and close you can feel to your partner. I’m here to help you knock down the obstacles getting in the way so that you can have that closeness again.
If you sense that I’d be a good fit for you, call me for a free consultation so we can see how I can help.
